Straight Bowl

Our "Oversized" cutters are made specifically for potters looking to create larger format shapes. They are perfect for keeping a consistent size when creating your works of art while speeding up the cutting process. 

While these were made with potters in mind, you can definitely use them with other materials such as polymer clay or play dough - the possibilities are endless. Our "Oversized" cutters are made with a tapered blade giving them more strength while still having a clean cut.

Sizing

Our Straight Bowl has 2 pieces:

SMALL

• A Round Circle base which is 15 cm in diameter
• A rectangle wall which is 23.5 cm x 6 cm

MEDIUM

• A Round Circle base which is 17 cm in diameter
• A rectangle wall which is 26.5 cm x 6 cm

LARGE

• A Round Circle base which is 19 cm in diameter
• A rectangle wall which is 30 cm x 6 cm

Construction

This set of two cutters creates a straight sided bowl to various dimensions (eg. 15/17/19 cm diameter with 6 cm height. This is the dimensions when cut from wet clay, please consider the shrinkage rates of your individual clay for final dimensions.

The Straight Bowl set is designed to constructed in a particular manner so that all the pieces fit. We have assumed that you will be working with clay that is 0.5 - 1.0 cm thick. Some pieces may overlap and require trimming. Please note that the wall is cut into two pieces and will have at a minimum two joining seams.
